Description

This trail ranges in elevation from 9,900 to 10,100 feet. The trail on the north half is halfway up on a hill. It follows the Rio Puerco which is at the bottom of the hill. The trail follows the contour of the hill and goes through large open areas. Large stands of mixed conifer exist on the hill’s upper side. The trail finally meanders down to the Rio Puerco and crosses over. The trail continues onto flat ground through a thick stand of mixed conifer. The trail passes through open areas just before it crosses Clear Creek and before it joins the Vacas Trail.
