Description

Located in a remote area of the forest and wilderness 30 miles from the Wilderness Ranger District office. This campground is accessible from FR150 and turning left when you reach the signs. The upper campground is the first campground you will come across and is visible from the entrance road. You can look down into the campground and see the concrete picnic tables, bathroom and the stream flowing through it. No drinking water or trash pickup.

No water available, but you can filter water from the stream. Please pack it in and pack it out. No garbage pickup.

The Mimbres Store is the closest store to the campground. It is also the last place to get gas before going to Black Canyon. It is open from 8AM to 5PM.

No designated campsites, and this is not a large campground.

Due to the road condition of FR150, which is an improved dirt/rock road, RV''s may find it very difficult to reach the campground. A high clearance vehicle is recommended.

FR150 is a good mountain biking road. Generally, it is a light-traffic road.
