Taos - Biking

Mountain biking in the hills and mountains surrounding Taos is some of the most remarkable in the state, with miles and miles of trails offering riding for all ability levels. From steep and technical downhill descents to rolling and casual half-day rides, the terrain of the Sangre de Cristo mountains allows for mountain biking in amazing surroundings with excellent scenery. Several outfitters in the Taos area rent bikes and visitors considering a mountain bike ride here are encouraged to check with a local bike shop or the Forest Service for more information on specific trails, trail closures and other forest rules & regulations.
