Spaceport America is the future home for Virgin Galactic and the New Mexico Spaceport Authority. It is situated in the desert 30 miles west of Truth or Consequences in southwest New Mexico and has already begun launching commercial and academic missions. When completed, Spaceport America will be the first purpose-built commercial spaceport in the world, serving as a base for a new era in aerospace and travel.
