Truth or Consequences

Truth or Consequences may have one of the most odd names of any New
Mexico town. Early in the 1950's, radio show host Ralph Edwards
challenged his many listeners around the United States to rename their
town Truth or Consequences in exchange for exposure to the radio
market audience. Residents of 'Hot Springs, NM' quickly voted to
change the town's name to Truth or Consequences and the rest is history. |
