Sierra Blanca, the area’s 12,000 foot peak, is home to Ski Apache and located just minutes from the beautiful mountain village of Ruidoso, New Mexico and the beautiful, recently reconstructed Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino. Ski Apache offers the best ski and snowboarding experience in the Southwest. Fifty-five trails for skiers and boarders of all levels and a fall line of over 1800 feet, beginning at 11,400 feet, make skiing and snowboarding here a blast for everyone. Ski Apache also features New Mexico’s only gondola as well as triple and quad chairs virtually eliminating long lift lines. The views are spectacular! You can even see White Sands National Monument from the top of Apache Bowl.
The recently renovated ski lodge offers great food, a friendly atmosphere and all of your favorite beverages as you gaze upon New Mexico’s best snow blanketing Sierra Blanca. Two snack shacks on the slopes offer a quick break and a warm drink. A ski shop, snowboard shop and equipment rental shop are all located in the main lodge.
