Silver City - Biking

Just outside Silver City, hundreds of miles of mountain bike accessible trails within the Gila National Forest beckon eager mountain bikers. Trails in the Gila are rolling, hilly and rocky, winding through a mix of pine forest and open grassland.

With a warm and rather dry climate, rides in the Silver City area are generally accessible year round. Riders will find the Little Walnut area, the Fort Bayrd area and the Signal Peak area, all within 15 miles of Silver City, offer a good variety of biking terrain from easy to difficult and allow riders to bike along several sections of the Continental Divide trail as it winds through the area.
