Las Vegas
Any fan of classic silent Westerns will find themselves at home in Las Vegas. It is here that many cinematic pioneers found the perfect setting to portray America's struggle for law and order in the rugged west. Las Vegas has nine historical districts totalling approximately 900 historical buildings, including the Plaza Hotel , built in 1881 in Victorian style. After the silent film era ended Las Vegas continued to play host to popular films such as Easy Rider, The Hi-Lo Country and Red Dawn. Most of the buildings seen in these and other films set in Las Vegas remain for visitors to enjoy.
