Laredo - Tourist Attractions / Parks

Laredo is not only historic, its history is very well-preserved and cared for. St. Peter's Historic District is filled with Victorian homes and century-old (and more) chapels - not to mention Green Parakeets. Laredo is a bird haven, after all, as is much of southern Texas. Also, be sure to check out the Republic of the Rio Grande Museum - for a very short period of time, Laredo was its own nation.
