Description

This trail crosses private land in the Solider Spring area. You must have permission to access this portion of the trail from the landowners.

Turn south on FR540 for 10 miles to Indian Vista.

There is a spur trail (west and south) across the escarpment for approximately one mile. This trail is very rocky at Indian Vista, yet visible to the District boundary. This is a one way trail.

To the east, the trail descends down canyon to FR307 and back up Solider Spring Canyon to FR201.

This trail is believed to have originated from American Indians traveling across the Guadalupe Mountain from water source to water source.

Take FR307 back up canyon (south) or continue up Solider Spring Canyon to FR201 for a loop trail back to FR540 and Indian Vista. This is up to an additional three miles depending on the route you take.
