The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the world’s largest hot air balloon festival, takes place each October, when you’ll see more than 500 balloons in the sky at a time. Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway - Explore the Sandia Mountains aboard the "North America's longest aerial tramway" suspended above deep canyons and rugged rock escarpment. See nature's beauty unfold as you ascend 2.7 miles to 10,378 feet for an 11,000 square mile view of New Mexico.
The ABQ Bio Park includes the Botanic Garden, Zoo, the Aquarium and Tingley Beach. At the Zoo you’ll find more than 250 species of exotic and native animals, including jaguars and Mexican wolves, and check out the Botanic Garden, where you’ll see how the plants differ in the Chihuahua Desert, the Mojave Desert and in desert grasslands, like Albuquerque.
